Introduction
I, Edge, am still figuring out most of my stances on things. I am young, disabled and severally traumatized. My opinions tend to be formed with the help of others, as i have problems thinking for myself. Though, i have some stances that i stand on, and what i believe in. Some are small, some are big, but they all matter lots to me. It wont be long, or life changing, just my expression and trying to figure out what i truly believe in. This manifesto will act as the foundation of a new beginning for me, laying down my core believes that i can slowly build off of, then start a new. My autism will heavily impact this, as my experiences are very different from a neurotically.
Right to exist
Everyone should have the right to live, not just survive. The rich should not exist, instead everyone should have a chance to live a comfortable life. All equal, every race, disabled person, every minority should have the same chances of living as the majority. They should be able to be proud of who they are without being shamed, bullied or killed.
Hate speech is a dangerous thing, which can influence some people to hurt individuals who they see as different, or less than themselves. In reality, we share 99.9% of our DNA with each other. The person reading this, you share 99.9% of your DNA with me! Our differences only account for 00.1% of our DNA. Yet that 00.1% difference is enough to cause someone to hate another person simply because they are different. At the end of the day, we are all of the same species. Why should we hate purely off of our differences? Instead of hating someone based off of their base appearance, find out more about them! When you stop caring about how someone is different from you, and instead see the person they are, you’ll see that you might have way more in common! That said, you do not need to like people who hate you for being different. Please surround yourself with people who accept you and care. Don’t surround yourself in hate and hate groups, surround yourself with love.
Right to privacy
Every individual has the right to privacy. The right to not be watched by large corporations or the government. Your information should not be sold to others in order to sell you things, even if you lack the currency to be able to afford said things.
An individual should not have to pay to get their data removed from data brokers, selling of information should be illegal. This selling of this data is very dangerous, and can lead to doxing, which can lead to worse crimes.
On the flip-side, the government shouldn’t be constantly watching their citizens. Have you ever watched something like The Giver, where everyone is constantly watched. Constant watching of citizens can be an attempt to control the general public into obedience.
Being watched is something no one wants. Why would you? The government watching you is a terrifying thought. You, yes you, has the right to privacy. You should not be watched, your data should not be sold to people so they can advertise stuff to you.
